The Sixes
The Sixes formed after the disbanding of Philco Bendyx around 1998. A new musical direction was undertaken based on the “dungeon” riffing/recording sessions of Daron M and Jonny le Master underneath the Avenue B apartment of Halcion (now defunkt) front-woman Dorit Kreisler. Daron M wrote some very sleazy character/story lyrics and the two hammered out the beats and riffs in the cramped and moist underground rock chamber. The Sixes were popular and played many times at Luna Lounge and the now-defunkt Baby Jupiter club. The Sixes fit the LES zeitgeist during the height of the decadent internet-bubble years — cocktails, parties, bloodshot mornings, surreal relationships….Anyway, the music never got its full due until now. These are the 100% original 4-track recordings available as a CD-R — $12 includes shipping.
